How the MP3 to MP4 converter works
- 1
Choose your song
Pick an MP3 or WAV up to 10 minutes long. It stays on your device: nothing is uploaded to us.
- 2
Add a picture and words
Add cover art or a photo, the song title and the artist, and pick a shape for YouTube, Shorts, Reels or a square post.
- 3
Download your MP4
Your browser makes the video, with sound bars that light up as the song plays. Watch it, then download the MP4.
Where to post your song video
- YouTube
- YouTube only takes videos, not MP3s. Make a 16:9 video with your cover art and upload your song like any other video.
- Shorts, Reels and TikTok
- Pick the tall 9:16 shape for a clip of your song that fills the phone screen.
- Instagram and X
- The square shape fits a feed post, so your song plays with its cover art right in the feed.
- Demos and previews
- Send a beat, a demo or a podcast clip as a video that plays anywhere, even in apps that don't play MP3s.

MP3 to MP4 questions
- How do I convert an MP3 to MP4 with a picture?
- Choose your MP3 above, add a picture, type the song title and press Make my video. Your browser builds an MP4 with the picture, the title and the full song, and you download it. It works with WAV files too.
- Is my song uploaded anywhere?
- No. The video is made inside your browser on your own device, so your song and picture are never sent to Audove or anyone else. That is also why there is no waiting in line and no daily limit.
- How long does it take?
- Usually less than a minute for a 3-minute song on a laptop. Long songs, the tall shape and older phones take longer. Keep the tab open while it works.
- Which browsers does it work in?
- Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on a computer, and most recent phones. If your browser can't make MP4 videos, the page tells you so you can try another one.
- Does it lower the sound quality?
- The sound is saved as AAC at a high bitrate, the format YouTube and phones use, so it sounds the same as your file to most ears. Start from a WAV for the cleanest result.
- Can I add lyrics to the video?
- This tool shows the title and artist. For lyrics, get timed SRT subtitles from the free LRC generator and add them in YouTube or your video editor. For a full music video with scenes, try Audove.
- Is it really free?
- Yes. There is no account and no limit on how many videos you make. Videos carry a small "Made with Audove" in the corner. Only use songs and pictures you made or have the rights to share.
